This program is an Igbo culture discovery pageant which is aim to promote Igbo culture in modern society.
We try to achieve this by putting out this adventurous contest where interested contestants will go into research to find out how #NdiIgbo lived before the invasion of "western ideology and colonialization" in our society, understand the values they share that guided the society for the better and be able to propose how we can reintroduce these values back into the society for a better change.
We are trying to discover and discuss these moralities we have, which are substantial in our lives not by western standards but by our indigenous standards (what we need).
A lot of us feel that some of our cultural beliefs and practices are evil and not fit to be in reality because of what we have been told, whereas those cultural practices were in existence for a good reason best known to our Indigenous people.
So, Therefore, this discovery pageant will provide us with the opportunity to meet our Igbo elders, kings, and knowledgeable citizens in our various communities to discuss and ascertain the proper understanding our indigenous people have of our culture.
NOTE : To participate, you don’t need to know how to speak Igbo fluently.
The program is also pointed to enlighten young girls to know their key'responsibilities in the society as Igbo girls and to reclaim their leadership role we ones enjoyed in Igbo land.
In Igbo, our women are precious, they play an integral part in the leadership of our society.
They help in organizing and protecting society.

With this program, our young girls can gain the authority to act accordingly through the knowledge they will acquire and in turn teach other youngsters this knowledge known by Igbo society as the acceptable code of living.
They will do that by carrying out other humanitarian outreach.

So we hope to have young girls who are creative and can bring good initiatives that will encourage human development in our society because we will prefer to work with them in reaching out to everyone who is an Igbo person and help them remember and understand who we were.
Women have a good influence in teaching and in our society they are required to know the right thing in other to enlighten us on the right things.
So let’s work together and give them back their power by providing them the right opportunity to acquire the valid knowledge that can help them reenact our beloved Igbo society.
